Vintage Art Deco 1920s Scottish agate necklace. This silver necklace features slices of amber and milky coloured agate from Scotland. Queen Victorian frequented Scotland and her castles, the area became very popular to visit and Scottish dress and jewellery became very fashionable. During the Victorian era the English were riding on trains seeing parts of the country previously inaccessible, consequently souvenir jewellery was very popular and easier to transport.
MEASUREMENTS
The necklace measures 60cm / 23" in length with a drop of 3.5cm / 1.3". The chain of the necklace is 1.2cm / 0.4" in width and the pendant is 2.4cm / 0.9".
CONDITION
The necklace is in excellent vintage condition.
